Secret Projects has formed a group for teachers from all over the world to join. This group was inspired by a visit to Secret Projects India by a teacher from New Zealand called Lesley Pearce.
The aim of this group is to connect teachers from all over the world from different disciplines and teaching students of any age.
The core subject that connects everyone in this group is Secret Projects, a social business working globally to empower women in India through making and selling fashion and homeware products.
The teaching elements that easily fall out of the subject of Secret Projects could be:
The history of Indian Textiles
Construction processes of traditional Indian textiles e.g. block printing
Economics of the women's self help group movement
Textile sustainability in modern India
The history of sari
An exploration of zero waste production e.g. alternatives to cotton
Design elements inspired by India
Modern day slavery in the fast fashion industry
The process of empowerment is what drives Secret Projects. This group is set up to empower teachers to create their own resources, share them and enjoy using resources created by fellow teachers.
Secret Projects is asking for £20 (Approx. $40NZ, $26US, 1,700 rupees) to gain a life time access to a Google Drive folder of shared resources. To gain access, please add this product to your cart and check out.
Once you have ordered, you will receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org with the link to the Google drive. (This might take up to 48 hours)
